The Lega Serie A has confirmed that every match in the penultimate round of 2024-25 fixtures will take place on the same day to avoid any potential conflicts of interest in the race for the Serie A title, the battle for a Champions League spot and the fight to avoid relegation.

Serie A confirm changes to Week 37 schedule

Serie A has confirmed that every Serie A Week 37 match will now take place on Sunday, May 18, with times to be confirmed on Tuesday following the conclusion of the 36th round of fixtures taking place this weekend.

There is a chance that the matches Hellas Verona vs. Como and Genoa vs. Atalanta will not be played on Sunday, as those games might become irrelevant to the title, Champions League and relegation fights by the end of this weekend.

Every other match due to take place in the 37th round, however, will have an impact on those battles.

Napoli and Inter remain in a duel for the Serie A title, which means that their matches against Parma and Lazio, respectively, are still important.

The same is also true for the four teams battling for a spot in the Champions League places: Juventus, Roma, Lazio and Bologna, who will play against Udinese, Milan, Inter and Fiorentina respectively.

Monza have already been relegated from Serie A, but the other two relegation spots are still open, with Empoli, Venezia, Lecce, Parma, Verona and Cagliari all mathematically at risk of the drop with three games to go.
