PSG midfielder Carlos Soler (28) has joined Real Sociedad, both clubs have announced. The 28-year-old midfielder was expected to leave the French capital as he was deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Luis Enrique, who sanctioned his loan spell to West Ham United in the previous season. Soler featured 63 times for Les Parisiens, logging eight goals and as many assists.
According to L’Equipe, PSG have agreed to sell half of Soler’s economic rights for a reported €8m transfer fee. Soler was one of the three PSG players, with Gianluigi Donnarumma and Randal Kolo Muani, who were expected to secure a Deadline Day exit from Les Parisiens. The Italy international will join Manchester City for a permanent transfer, whereas the former Eintracht Frankfurt striker is set to join Tottenham Hotspur on loan.
