Nordi Mukiele (27) has returned to Paris Saint-Germain following the conclusion of his loan spell at Bayer Leverkusen, the Bundesliga club confirmed on Saturday morning.
The French right-back spent the 2024-25 season on loan in Germany, where he made 24 appearances, scoring two goals and providing one assist across all competitions. Despite Leverkusen’s strong domestic season, the club has opted not to pursue a permanent deal, bringing Mukiele’s spell at the BayArena to an end.
“Thank you for 24 appearances and two goals wearing the cross on your chest, Nordi!” Leverkusen posted on social media, bidding farewell to the former RB Leipzig man.
Mukiele is under contract with PSG until June 2027, but his long-term future in Paris remains uncertain. With strong competition at full-back – and PSG reportedly looking to refresh the squad this summer – the defender could be in line for another move, either via transfer or loan.
Signed from Leipzig in 2022, Mukiele has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter under successive coaches, with injuries and competition limiting his impact. A decision on his future is expected in the coming weeks.GFFN | George Boxall
