Official: New name included as Real Madrid name squad for Osasuna | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this afternoon unveiled the club’s squad for their upcoming meeting with Osasuna.

And it features one standout inclusion…

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are primed to return to action on Saturday, when they welcome the aforementioned Osasuna to Spain’s capital for a league clash.

Real will head into proceedings desperate for a bounce-back performance, amid heavy criticism stemming from back-to-back defeats at the hands of Barcelona and AC Milan.

A short time ago, the squad of players set to be depended upon by Ancelotti and his coaching staff to secure a return to winning ways was, in turn, unveiled online.

And it features one head-turning name, in the form of Raúl Asencio.

Defender Asencio, for those not familiar with his name, is a 21-year-old central defender, who is currently plying his trade with namesake Raúl’s Real Madrid Castilla side.

He has long been considered a potential first-team player in the making at Valdebebas, with the Spaniard’s most recent endeavours, in turn, having this week given rise to a spot in Los Blancos’ star-studded panel to face Osasuna.

Amid the shortage of options at the disposal of Carlo Ancelotti, Asencio has been rewarded, joining Antonio Rüdiger, Éder Militão and Jesús Vallejo as natural central defenders available to feature at the Bernabéu on Saturday.
