Official: Man City vs. AC Milan starting XIs – Fonseca fields Florenzi in midfield | OneFootball

Paulo Fonseca has named his starting eleven for the game against Man City at midnight, as confirmed by AC Milan, and there are quite a few changes compared to the friendly against Rapid Wien. Interestingly, Alessandro Florenzi has been given the chance in midfield again.

This will be Fonseca’s second game in charge of the team and after seeing several players in the first one, he had a pretty good idea when picking the starting XI. Lorenzo Torriano starts instead of Marco Sportiello in goal, while Davde Calabria, Fikayo Tomori, Matteo Gabbia and Filippo Terracciano complete the defence.

In midfield, Ismael Bennacer and Alessandro Florenzi get the nod after impressing against Rapid Wien, with Fonseca hoping to keep control of possession tonight. Up front, Samuel Chukwueze keeps his spot on the right, playing alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Alexis Saelemaekers.

Luka Jovic has only been training with the team for a few days and as such, Lorenzo Colombo completes the XI despite being close to a move.
