Paris Saint-Germain have officially confirmed this Thursday the contract extension of Luis Campos as Sporting Advisor to QSI (Qatar Sports Investments), with the Portuguese executive now tied to the group until 2030. Campos’ scope of influence expands beyond PSG, meaning he’ll have involvement if QSI’s multi-club strategy. The PSG advisor had attracted interest from Premier League clubs, and Get French Football News reported that he was in talks with a major European side.
In a statement released by PSG, the club revealed that Campos “will continue to oversee the sporting strategy of the QSI Group as a whole – including men’s football at Paris Saint-Germain and advisory responsibilities with SC Braga.”
QSI acquired a minority stake in the Portuguese side Braga in October 2022 (initially 21.67%, increased to 30% in 2023), and Campos’ new remit strengthens the sporting synergy between the two clubs, with further expansion likely in the coming years.
Campos, who joined PSG in 2022, will have a continued role in recruitment, while also being “key in identifying new investment opportunities in multi-club football, international sports assets and elite talent.”
PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi commented: “We are very pleased to renew Luis Campos’ contract through to 2030. He has done an exceptional job over the last three years. Today, we have stability, a clear vision and shared ambition across all our assets – for which I thank Luis. We look forward to future successes and achieving QSI’s long-term objectives.”
