Leeds United have confirmed via their official social media channels that they have sealed the signing of Lucas Perri (27) from Olympique Lyonnais. Following their promotion to the Premier League, Daniel Farke had identified goalkeeper as one area of his squad that he would like to bolster.

Perri arrives in West Yorkshire after spending 18 months with Lyon. OL signed the Brazilian goalkeeper from sister club Botafogo. During his time in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France, the former Botafogo goalkeeper made 49 appearances for Lyon. He played a major part during his first 6 months at the club in helping OL reach the Coupe de France final

Leeds will pay Les Gones €15m for the 27-year-old’s services. Perri has signed a 4-year deal at Elland Road and becomes the newly-promoted side’s 7th signing of the summer as they look to cement their place in the English top flight for seasons to come.
