La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Tuesday been dealt something of a blow on the transfer front.
This comes amid confirmation that Alphonso Davies has put pen to paper on a new long-term contract with Bayern Munich.
The name of defender Davies has of course long proven a prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital.
This comes after it was widely confirmed that the Canadian international had been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of the Real Madrid brass.
Ahead of the expiration of his contract in Munich this coming summer, Davies was earmarked as the perfect free agent addition.
As alluded to above, however, following a saga spanning several transfer windows, Real, on Tuesday, have seen their hopes of landing the left-back for nothing finally brought to a definitive end.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Bayern Munich that Davies has signed a new deal with the club, through the summer of 2030.
