The Old Lady have confirmed that he has joined Atletico Madrid for an initial loan fee of €1m, which could rise to €2m if bonus clauses are activated. Atleti will also have an option to make the move permanent at a later date for an additional fee of €32m.

Juventus spent €8m to sign Nico on loan last season, in a deal that included a €25m buy option, bonuses of up to €5m and ancillary fees of €3.1m.

His departure paves the way for Juve to welcome Edon Zhegrova and Lois Openda, who have both had their Bianconeri medicals on deadline day.
