Olympique de Marseille have successfully pivoted to secure their seventh signing of the summer, officially welcoming Ivorian international Hamed Traoré. After a proposed move for Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos fell through, the club moved decisively to bring the midfielder back to Ligue 1.

Traoré, who spent last season on loan at AJ Auxerre, has now completed a permanent return to France. The deal was confirmed by the club in a formal announcement across its social media channels, following the player’s successful completion of a medical examination.

To secure the deal for Hamed Traoré, Marseille’s management employed a creatively structured agreement to satisfy Bournemouth’s demands. The arrangement takes the form of a loan move featuring a virtually mandatory purchase option, valued at approximately €7 million.
