Official: Edoardo Bove joins Fiorentina

Roma midfielder Edoardo Bove has officially joined Fiorentina.

The 22 year-old is moving to La Viola on loan with an option to buy—potentially spelling an end to his time with his boyhood club.

“The club can announce that Edoardo Bove has joined Fiorentina on loan with an option to buy,” confirmed Roma on their website.

“Born in 2002, the midfielder has made 92 appearances for the Giallorossi, scoring four goals. The club wishes Edoardo the best of luck in this new adventure.”

The midfielder’s exit was prompted by a reduction in playing time—not playing a single minute through the Giallorossi’s first two league fixtures. His role was diminished significantly following the mid-January arrival of Daniele De Rossi, who replaced Jose Mourinho.
