Ultras group the Curva Nord have announced that they plan to boycott the San Siro during Inter Milan this season “until further notice.”

The Nord made the statement in an Instagram post, just hours before Inter’s Serie A opener against Torino.

Inter Milan ultras group the Curva Nord have been voicing their displeasure with the club recently.

The group have complained about the “unprecedented abuses” that they have faced. These include higher ticket prices and the inability of some members to purchase season tickets.

The Nord had already promised a fan protest in response to their grievances.

However, now the group have announced that they will take things a step further.

The Nord have made clear that they will not be at the San Siro for Inter matches in an organized capacity.

The Nord’s statement begins: “Here we are.”

“A new season is about the begin. And while our Inter prepare to resume their league campaign, we, their fans, find ourselves forced to face another season marked by abuse, bans, and restrictions.”

“The season ticket campaign has proven to be a complete failure,” the Nord write.

“In addition to yet another unjustified price increase, we’ve been hit with the infamous ‘black list.’ Dozens of guys belong to our groups have been unable to renew their season tickets for no valid reason.”

“Many of them (the majority) have no criminal record. And no pending legal action.”

“The only ‘fault’? Their constant and passionate support of the team, wherever they play, home and away, in Italy and in Europe.”

“People who dedicate time, energy, and money to Inter are now excluded from their seats in the stadium.”

“And all of this is now considered normal.”

The Nord announce that “After deep reflection and internal discussions, we’ve decided that the time has come for us to change course.”

“Last season, we went out of our way to keep our organized support alive. Even fighting to get something as simple as a Nerazzurri flag into the stadium.”

“Want a theatre-like atmosphere to the stadium? Keep it.”

“From today on, organized groups of the Curva Nord will stay outside of the San Siro until further notice.”
