Official: Barcelona & Real Madrid stars dominate La Liga Player of the Season nominees | OneFootball

Players from Spanish football’s two leading clubs have been nominated for the La Liga Player of the Season award.

In fact, stars from the respective squads at Barcelona and Real Madrid have taken seven of the nine spots on the shortlist for the prize.

Looking first at the former, from Hansi Flick’s recently-crowned champions, all of Pedri, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski are in the running.

Turning attentions towards Real Madrid, and it is star trio Jude Bellingham, Vinícius Jr. and Kylian Mbappé who are rewarded for their efforts with respective inclusions.

One player from each of Real Betis and Oihan Sancet have seen their names put forward to be named Spanish football’s best, too, in the form of Athletic Club top scorer Oihan Sancet, and Real Betis standout Isco.
