UEFA announce that the 2026 Champions League Final will kick off at 18:00CET rather than 21:00.

UEFA made a huge announcement regarding the 2025-26 Champions League Final on Thursday.

“The UEFA Champions League final will kick off at 18:00 CET (17:00 GMT) as of the 2025/26 season,” UEFA said in a statement on X.

“The decision is designed to enhance the matchday experience and benefit fans, teams and host cities.”

The 2026 Champions League Final will take place at the Puskas Arena in Budapest, Hungary, on May 30, 2026.

Italian clubs have reached the Champions League Final four times in the last six years, twice with Juventus (2015 and 2017) and twice with Inter (2023 and 2025). However, neither Juventus nor Inter has been able to lift the trophy.

Inter were the last Serie A club to win the Champions League in 2009-10 with José Mourinho in charge.

Napoli, Inter, Atalanta and Juventus are the Serie A clubs involved in this season’s edition of the Champions League.
