As reported by kicker, Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Odilon Kossounou could leave the club this summer.
For a number of weeks, it appeared as though Die Werkself would begin their defence of the Bundesliga title without Jonathan Tah.
However, with Bayern Munich electing not to sign the 28-year-old, the German champions were set to have their backline remain intact for the upcoming campaign.
Nevertheless, as previously reported, Piero Hincapié is beginning to attract attention from a variety of Premier League clubs, meaning the Ecuadorian could depart the BayArena before the end of the transfer window.
As well as this, kicker are now suggesting that Kossounou could also leave, with the 23-year-old refusing to sign a new deal with Leverkusen.
The Werkself are keen to offer the defender a new deal at the club, with his contract set to expire in 2026, but Kossounou is dreaming of a move to the Premier League.
It is understood that should an offer from the Premier League arise for Kossounou, the defender would inform Leverkusen of his desire to leave.
Regardless, as it stands, Xabi Alonso’s side are not in talks to sell the 23-year-old, and with the season fast approaching, it is unlikely they would be willing to listen to offers for his services.
