To highlight the battle like nature of the game, Ugarte competed in an incredible 24 ground duels but only came out on top eight times as he was well-matched for bite by the Bolivian midfield.
The 23 year old made a total of six tackles in the match, two interceptions and two clearances. He also got forward and had one shot off target and one effort that well blocked by the Bolivian defence.
Victor Lindelof had a much calmer evening as his Sweden side demolished a youthful Northern Ireland side 5-1 in Stockholm. He played the full match and made five clearances. He won all three of his aerial duels but only came out on top in one of his four ground battles.
The experienced defender had plenty of time on the ball as he had 83 touches and completed 96% of his passes.
Finally, James Scanlon represented Gibraltar in a 0-4 defeat to Czechia.
In what was a stern test for the youngster and his national team, he only managed to complete 30% of his pass attempts but he did manage one key pass. The 18 year old also attempted 10 ground duels but could only win three of them as Gibraltar struggled to get into the game at all.
