Chelsea are line to pocket around £4.25m if Omari Hutchinson completes his move to Nottingham Forest according to reports.

It appears Hutchinson could be returning to the Premier League after Forest agreed a fee worth £37.5m with Ipswich for the winger.

Chelsea signed the England under-21 international on a free transfer from Arsenal in 2022, before selling Hutchinson to Ipswich last summer in a deal worth around £20m.

Chelsea set to benefit from Hutchinson deal

Hutchinson only made two appearances for the first team, but the Blues made sure to include a sell on clause, which they are now in line to benefit from.

According to The Sun Chelsea included a clause which allows them to 25% of the profit of any future sale of the 21-year-old.

Hutchinson made just two appearances for Chelsea.

The report adds the Blues are set to receive around £4.25m, which isn’t bad for a player that cost the club nothing and they sold for £20m.

This is just another example of brilliant work by the sporting directors, who signed contract extensions earlier this week keeping them at the club for the next six years.

If Hutchinson does complete his move to Forest it will see him link up with former Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and right back Ola Aina.

Chelsea sales picking up

The Blues have raised a significant amount of money through player sales this summer, but there’s a lot more to come.

Chelsea have made good progress with outgoings, but there’s still a number of players the club are looking to sell before the end of the window.

The Blues are still looking to sell Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Carney Chukwuemeka, Renato Veiga, Axel Disasi, Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson.

Whilst there’s interest in the majority of those players, no official bids have come in yet, and it’s sure to be a busy end to the window at Stamford Bridge.
