Premier League rivals Manchester City and Nottingham Forest have conducted late transfer business on deadline day, it has been reported.

The 18-year-old forward was the subject of widespread transfer interest during the last summer transfer window, having concluded a spell with Manchester City’s first-team during their pre-season tour of the United States.

Among the clubs to have shown an interest during the last market were Ajax and Venezia, while it was ultimately PSV Eindhoven who won the race for the winger in an initial season-long loan move containing a conditional buy-obligation worth up to €10 million.

While City included favourable terms in that agreement including a buy-back and sell-on clause, it appears as though the obligation to buy based on various conditions has now been broken, with one Premier League club coming in to act fast and take advantage of the situation.

That is according to the information of transfer market insider Fabrizio Romano, who reveals that Nottingham Forest have agreed a late loan deal on deadline day with Manchester City to sign highly-rated winger Joel Ndala.

It is further revealed that the agreement between the two clubs also hands the City Ground club a buy-option clause worth £4 million for the end of the temporary term, while Manchester City will retain a 20 sell-on in the move.

In the process, Joel Ndala has seen his stay with PSV Eindhoven brought to an end having made a total of 12 appearances for the club in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process.

Ndala first joined Manchester City back in 2017 and progressed into the club’s Under-18s squad as its youngest member in 2021/22, and by 2023 was starring for the England youth set-up at the Under-17 World Cup scoring three goals and offering two assists in four matches.
