Nine players between Bayern and Inter are at risk of suspension before the Champions League quarter-final first leg kicks off on Tuesday night, including several of Simone Inzaghi’s first-team starters.
As per UEFA regulations, players will pick up suspensions after accumulating three yellow cards in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League. Yellow card tallies are counted from the first match of the league phase, and are counted until the end of the quarter-finals, at which stage the slate will be wiped clean.
All told, nine players are at risk of picking up a third yellow card in the Champions League quarter-final: Five from Bayern and four from Inter.

For the Nerazzurri, the list includes Alessandro Bastoni, Nicolo Barella, Benjamin Pavard and Denzel Dumfries. The latter is injured, will not be involved and is therefore less of a risk than his three teammates, all of whom are expected to start at the Allianz Arena.
For Bayern, the players at risk of suspension are Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka, Konrad Laimer and Leroy Sane. Coman is in a similar position to Inter’s Dumfries, but there is a chance that Goretzka, Laimer and Sane all start against the Nerazzurri.
