Nicolas Valentini arrives in Florence ahead of Fiorentina move | OneFootball

Serie A side Fiorentina have now all but sealed their move for Boca Juniors defender Nicolas Valentini.

The centre-back had agreed a move to Fiorentina in the summer transfer window but it was delayed. Now, the player will arrive at La Viola in January.

Gianluca di Marzio has confirmed that Valentini is now in Florence. The 23-year-old Argentine will be presented by the club later today at an open training session, with his contract at Boca Juniors now having expired and he will arrive on a free transfer.

Manager Raffaele Palladino had chosen the player as a target, with the centre-back having been in Florence since the morning. The session will happen in the next few hours and the likelihood is that his arrival will lead to the exit of Lucas Martinez Quarta, with Cristiano Biraghi also set to depart.

Valentini is already part of the Argentine national side, but is yet to make an appearance.
