Nico Paz responds to Real Madrid return links | OneFootball

Former Real Madrid star Nico Paz has this weekend responded to the mounting speculation linking him with a move back to Spain’s capital.

It is of course common knowledge at this point that Real Madrid are on the lookout for reinforcements in the middle of the park this summer.

Having evidently come to the conclusion that the options at the disposal of the incoming Xabi Alonso are lacking, Los Blancos have drawn up a shortlist of midfield target options.

One such option comes in the form of the aforementioned Nico Paz, fresh off a stellar campaign in Italy with Cesc Fàbregas’ Como.

Real boast a buyback clause on the young Argentine, following his departure for Serie A last summer.

Amid widespread claims that as much could be activated over the weeks ahead, Paz himself was in turn drawn on the possibility of a reunion with his former employers this weekend.

In quotes afforded to Sport Center, relaid by Marca, though, the 20-year-old was keen to assure that his focus at present is solely on matters with the Argentina squad:

“I’m calm, thinking about the national team, the holidays, and then, we’ll see. And whatever happens, happens.”
