Leicester arrive in the North East unbeaten in two games under new head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Foxes fought back from two goals down to draw with Brighton last weekend.
Callum Wilson took to social media this week to confirm his latest injury setback. The forward is back on the sidelines as an injury-plagued period continues for the 32-year-old. He joins Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Emil Krafth as confirmed absentees.
Joe Willock will be assessed after missing the defeat at Brentford with a hamstring strain, while Anthony Gordon will want a recall after dropping to the bench. The winger dismissed speculation surrounding his future at St James’ Park this week.
Newcastle United predicted XI: Pope; Livramento, Schar, Burn, Hall; Tonali, Guimaraes, Joelinton; Gordon, Isak, Barnes.
