Newcastle United announce signing of forward Hayles | OneFootball

Newcastle United have completed the signing of Bristol City forward Shania Hayles for an undisclosed fee.

The Magpies announced news of the transfer this afternoon via a post on their official club website.

Hayles joins Newcastle United after spending the last two seasons playing her football with Bristol City. The forward scored 11 goals in 22 appearances for The Robins in 2022/2023 as the club secured the Barclays Women’s Championship title and promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League. Hayles then featured for Bristol City on 15 occasions in the top flight last term.

The forward will now be hoping to use her experience to help Newcastle United continue their climb up the footballing pyramid.

After signing for Newcastle United, Hayles said “I’m absolutely delighted to sign for this club. I’ve heard such great things and I can’t wait to get started.

“I know that the fanbase is brilliant and I can’t wait to be playing in front of them all in the black and white shirt.”

Hayles becomes Newcastle United’s first summer signing. The Magpies are expected to make many more new additions this summer with the club set to compete in the Barclays Women’s Championship for the very first time this season.
