Liverpool are reportedly still keen on signing Newcastle United's Swedish star Alexander Isak, with the player expressing a genuine desire to leave St. James' Park this summer for a new experience he so desperately desires.

Without a doubt, the player, who is currently in his prime with the Magpies, will be on the radar of the world's biggest clubs, including English giants Liverpool. The only problem, however, may be Newcastle's high asking price, which is estimated at between €100 and €150 million - the same insane price Liverpool paid to acquire Florian Wirtz.

What did Fabrizio Romano say about the player's transfer to Liverpool?

In a recent episode of his podcast, Fabrizio Romano dropped a significant update regarding Alexander Isak’s future. The reliable journalist revealed that the Newcastle striker has made up his mind about departing the club this summer. According to Romano, Isak sees Liverpool as a major destination—one capable of challenging for the Premier League crown next season.

"I can confirm that the decision has been made on the player’s side. Alexander Isak wants to leave Newcastle this summer. The player has been clear with the club this week, after having several conversations with his agents to make a final decision on his future. Now, Alexander is very clear. He wants to go."

Romano emphasized that Isak has formally communicated his intentions to Newcastle’s hierarchy, marking a decisive turning point in the transfer saga. The Swedish international appears determined to take the next step in his career, with Liverpool emerging as his preferred choice.
