The Tunisian tactician Nasreddine Nabi has broken his silence regarding Kaizer Chiefs' prospects in the upcoming Betway Premiership campaign. This comes after Amakhosi ended their decade-long trophy drought last season by clinching the Nedbank Cup under Nabi's guidance.

The Phefeni Glamour Boys now set their sights on multiple honors, preparing to compete across four fronts: the league, CAF Confederation Cup, Carling Cup, and Nedbank Cup. Their last league triumph dates back to the 2014/15 ABSA Premiership era under Stuart Baxter.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of Saturday's Toyota Cup clash against Ghana's Asante Kotoko at Moses Mabhida Stadium (which Chiefs ultimately lost 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw), Nabi addressed questions about their league title aspirations.

"We're approaching this season match by match," he stated, emphasizing the club's commitment to maximum effort in every outing. "The Soweto giants will fight for every trophy available," he added definitively.

During Friday's media open day at Princess Magogo Stadium, Nabi elaborated: "We're treating this season holistically - not just the league, but the Nedbank Cup and CAF Confederation Cup too. We want to take each game as it comes."

"We'll give our absolute best to win every match. Realistically, winning them all might be challenging, but nothing's impossible. We'll compete in every game within our capabilities, then assess our position later," the coach concluded, outlining his pragmatic yet ambitious approach.
