The Italian Serie A 2025-26 season kicks off on Saturday, August 23rd, as Napoli seeks to defend their 2025 Serie A title. The Blues have won Italy’s top football league in two of the past three seasons, which is why oddsmakers have them favored to win again at +160.

Following a runner-up finish to Napoli last season, Inter Milan spent big money on Luis Henrique and Ange-Yoan Bonny to bolster their offense this offseason. The Black and Blues finished one point behind Napoli in the Italian Serie A standings.
Boasting the league’s best goal differential at +44 last year, Inter Milan also scored the most goals during the 2024-25 season, finishing with 79 goals to pace Atalanta by one. Inter last won the Italian Serie A during the 2023-24 season, which marked their 20th title in the league.
Other potential contenders in the upcoming 2025-26 Italian Serie A season, according to the latest futures markets, include Juventus and AC Milan. Juventus finished fourth with 70 total points and held opponents to 35 goals, tied for the second fewest in the league.
Offense was the missing piece, as Juventus logged 58 goals, relying on their defense to generate points. That’s why the club spent over €118 million this offseason, headlined by the acquisition of right wingers Francisco Conceição and Nico González.
A high-octane offense doesn’t necessarily translate to an Italian Serie A title, as evidenced by Napoli’s win in 2025. The Blues only scored 59 goals but were stout on defense, limiting opponents to 27 total goals.
Behind Juventus at +450 in the Italian Serie A 2025-26 Winner betting market sits AC Milan at +550. They finished eighth out of 20 teams last season with a +18 goal differential.
Oddsmakers are likely bullish on AC Milan based on their offseason signings. Ardon Jashari and Samuele Ricci were both signed for a combined €59 million to improve the club’s defense.
Pervis Estupiñán was another €17 million signing added at left-back. This comes on the heels of AC Milan allowing 43 goals, which was the second-highest mark in the top eight of the Italian Serie A table, excluding Lazio. Their offense was solid overall, scoring 61 goals, tied for third-most in the league.
There is a sizable drop-off between AC Milan and AS Roma at +1100. Acquiring 21-year-old right-back Wesley from Brazil’s Flamengo adds talent, along with Neil El Aynaoui at central midfield.
AS Roma did manage a top-five finish last year, recording a +21 goal differential thanks to their defense. However, the longshot that seems to hold the most value is Atalanta at +2000.
Atalanta logged a third-place finish with 74 points. This was due to their offense, which scored 78 goals, second behind Inter Milan. Atalanta did lose Mateo Retegui but added several big-name transfers, focusing on their defense and midfield.
Defense wasn’t an issue either, as they held opponents to 37 total goals. This led the club to the league’s second-best goal differential at +41. Target Atalanta in futures markets at a price that will likely grow shorter as the new season unfolds.
