Napoli Begin Contemplating Cashing In on Raspadori

Napoli might change their mind about Giacomo Raspadori and start considering the offers for him, something they have refused to do so far. He’s not playing much under Antonio Conte. They splurged to acquire him from Sassuolo in 2022. Plus, his wages aren’t small, €2.8M annually, Corriere dello Sport informed (via OneFootball).

The attacker has starred in just 6 out of 13 Serie A games, starting twice. He has gotten the nod in two Coppa Italia tilts, for a total of 383 minutes.

Napoli might be open for business, but they spent €35M to sign Raspadori. Atalanta have put forth an inquiry. Furthermore, he has an important admirer in Roberto De Zerbi, who had used him as a no.9 at Sassuolo and tried to orchestrate a reunion at Olympique Marseille last summer.

The forward clamored for more minutes in an interview to Vivo Azzurro TV.

“At 24 years old, I no longer consider myself a youngster, even though many could see it that way. I’m very ambitious and have big goals. At this stage of my career, I’d like to complete my maturation by trying to find room and continuity and have a playing time that allows me to express myself at my best. I’m confident in my abilities and have a lot more to show.”

Our Take on Raspadori

Antonio Conte’s scheme does him no favor, and the pathway for him to be a starter just isn’t there considering also the quality of his teammates. They are in a pickle as they’d be smart to cut bait, but they’d need to be remunerated properly, and other sides are well aware that he’s a distressed asset at this point.
