‘My successor’ – Neymar responds to Real Madrid star’s message | OneFootball

Former Barcelona star Neymar Jr. has taken to social media, to issue a response to fellow countryman and Real Madrid standout Rodrygo.

This comes after the latter sent a touching message to Neymar on Thursday evening.

After learning of his international teammate’s return to Santos being made official, Rodrygo took to his Instagram account, to both lavish praise on Neymar, and wish him the best of luck back in Brazil.

And, as alluded to above, such kind words did not go at all unnoticed on the part of Neymar himself.

Taking to the comments of Rodrygo’s post, Santos’ newest addition labelled the Real Madrid man his ‘successor’, before reiterating that the pair ‘still have a mission together’ with the Brazilian national team.

Turning attentions back towards the immediate road ahead for Rodrygo, the ex-Santos prodigy will be hopeful of carrying forth what has been a scintillating recent stretch of form on Saturday night, when Real Madrid make the trip to Espanyol for a La Liga clash.
