For the first time this season, Morgan Sanson is available for selection for OGC Nice when they face Olympique Lyonnais on Sunday night.
Franck Haise confirmed the new during a press conference, attended by Get French Football News. “He has trained and has been training at 100%. He is available for selection and he can play,” stated the Nice manager. Sanson has been absent all season after suffering an ankle injury just before the start of the campaign.
Initially, the former Aston Villa midfielder was diagnosed with a sprained ankle, however, this was a misdiagnosis and in fact, a month later, following further medical consultation, it was revealed that he had suffered a double ankle fracture.
Meanwhile, Terem Moffi, who suffered an ACL injury in pre-season, is also nearing a return. Haise stated that it may be too early for the Nigerian to play a part against Lyon this weekend. “He may need a bit more time but it is encouraging,” said Haise.
Tanguy Ndombélé will not face his former club this weekend. The Frenchman is still doing gym work as he contends with an ongoing pubalgia issue, from which he has been suffering for much of the campaign.
