Monday Marker: Your guide to City’s week ahead | OneFootball

After wins for our men’s team and Under-18s last weekend, there’s another bumper seven days ahead at Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side began our Premier League pursuit with a superb 4-0 triumph over Wolves after Oliver Reiss’ team secured a strong 5-0 success over Leeds.

As well as both returning to action this week, our Elite Development Squad begin the defence of the Premier League 2 title and Andrée Jeglertz’s side fly out to Spain for warm weather training.

MONDAY

Chelsea v EDS | Premier League 2 | 19:00 (UK) | CITY+

Ben Wilkinson’s side kick off the Premier League 2 season with a trip to Chelsea on Monday 18 August at 19:00 (UK).

The clash will be streamed live on CITY+ and updates will be posted on our brand-new Instagram platform: @ManCityAcademy.

FRIDAY

Sunderland v City Under-18s | PL U18 North | 11:00 (UK) | CITY+

Pep Guardiola press conference | 13:30 (UK)

EDS v West Ham | Premier League 2 | 19:00 (UK) | CITY+

An action-packed Friday begins with our Under-18s taking on Sunderland at 11:00 (UK) which will be broadcast live on CITY+.

Meanwhile, updates will be provided on Instagram before a match report and highlights will be published on mancity.com and our official app.

Then, at 13:30 (UK), Guardiola will be fielding questions ahead of our Premier League meeting with Spurs which will be shown live on our digital estate.

Following the press conference’s conclusion, written and video recaps will be published on mancity.com and our official app.

Wilkinson’s side conclude the day with a meeting with West Ham at the Joie Stadium at 19:00 (UK) which too will be shown on CITY+.

SATURDAY

City v Tottenham Hotspur | Etihad Stadium | Premier League | 12:30 (UK)

City’s first Premier League home assignment of 2025/26 sees us lock horns with Spurs on Saturday 23 August, with kick-off scheduled for 12:30 (UK).
