AC Milan are preparing for this weekend’s clash against Juventus, and today’s training session has been closely watched for updates.

We are just four days away from Milan’s return to Serie A action, and there is a lot that must be done. Paulo Fonseca is planning a formational change, so tactical work must be done. Aside from this, players are returning from international duty, so work must be done to ensure their readiness.

As Milan News write from Milanello, Theo Hernandez has returned to base to take part in training after an underwhelming period with Didier Deschamps’ team, where questions have been asked about his level once again.

However, his compatriot has not yet returned to Milanello, as he was given an extra day off. There is no reasoning attached to this, however, there should be no fears about conditions or anything along those lines.

Perhaps the biggest news of the day, though, involves Matteo Gabbia. The Italian defender was once again present, however, he was still working individually during the session, however, there is a possibility that he will return to group work for tomorrow’s session.

Doing so would be a huge boost for Fonseca, given it would likely point in the direction of him starting against the Old Lady this weekend, but only time will tell.
