Mile Svilar to sign new 5-year contract with Roma in July | OneFootball

Roma are one step away from finalizing the contract renewal of Mile Svilar.

The negotiations, which have kept the future of the Belgian goalkeeper in suspense, now seem to have reached the final stages.

The final agreement is expected by the start of the summer preseason training, putting an end to a long but negotiation.

Roma’s new sporting director, Frederic Massara, is working to define the final details with the player’s agent.

According to Corriere dello Sport, the proposal currently being finalized includes a five-year contract with a salary of 3.5 million euros per year plus bonuses.

This is a figure significantly higher than the current salary, which is around a million euros.

An initial offer of 3 million was rejected, but the increase and the new conditions seem to have led the parties to an agreement.

Claudio Ranieri’s role also facilitated the agreement: the former coach, in fact, maintained frequent contact with Svilar in recent weeks, encouraging the rapprochement between the player and the club.
