Teenage talent Mattia Liberali is very close to leaving Milan on a permanent transfer to join Serie B side Catanzaro, despite numerous approaches from teams in Serie A over the last few days, Football Italia understands.
Despite requests and enquiries from numerous top-flight sides over the last few days, Catanzaro are set to see off the competition and sign the 18-year-old Liberali from Milan, as was originally reported by Gianluigi Longari.
The Calabrian club is seen as the most viable option for the teenager this summer.

Football Italia understands that an agreement over a permanent transfer is now being finalised.
Liberali was tipped for great things this time last year when he emerged as one of the break-out stars of Milan’s pre-season campaign, which included a decisive assist in a 1-0 win over Real Madrid, the reigning Champions League victors at the time.

He was then handed his full, competitive debut for a 0-0 draw against Genoa in December, on a weekend that marked the club’s 125th anniversary. He was aged 17 years, eight months and seven days old at the time.
Despite the initial excitement, Liberali’s hour-long appearance against Genoa would be his only appearance for the Rossoneri senior side in any competition.
