Milan prepared to invest in another striker in summer transfer window: Two names | OneFootball

Reports on Easter Sunday claim that Milan are prepared to invest a significant fee in the signing of another centre-forward to compete with Santiago Gimenez during the summer transfer window, with two names understood to be of interest to the Rossoneri.

There could be plenty of change about Milan over the summer, as they look to appoint a new sporting director, head coach and bring in a new batch of recruits to freshen up the playing staff.

While the team spent around €35m including bonuses on the signing of Gimenez from Feyenoord in January, Calciomercato.com suggests that the Rossoneri could look to invest around €30m on the signing of another centre-forward in the summer.

Knowing that Luka Jovic is likely to leave, and not knowing definitively if Tammy Abraham will stay or go, the Rossoneri are looking to provide cover and competition for Gimenez, and to alleviate some of the pressure on his after a run of games without a goal.

According to various reports, Milan are among the clubs interested in signing Italy international Lorenzo Lucca from Udinese, who has also been linked with a move to Napoli and Inter in recent months.

As per Calciomercato, there is another option in the Bundesliga in the form of Germany international and Mainz striker Jonathan Burkardt, who is also of interest and is expected to be available for a similar fee in the summer.
