John Obi Mikel has criticised Jadon Sancho and believes the winger deceived fans with a couple of good performances.
Sancho arrived from Manchester United on deadline day las summer in an initial loan deal, which will become permanent providing Chelsea don’t finish in the bottom six.
Despite a promising start which saw him register three assists in his first three games, and score his first goals against Southampton and Tottenham, his form has taken a dip.
Chelsea are currently in a slump and have won just two of their last nine Premier League games following Friday night’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton.
The Blues didn’t manage a single shot on target and their attacking players have come under criticism, especially the wide players.

The wide players are crucial in Enzo Maresca’s system, but they are really struggling at the moment, a fact highlighted in the Brighton defeat.
Sancho’s form has been a concern for a while, and he’s not registered a goal contribution since the draw against Crystal Palace at the start of January, although Maresca has described him as a special player.
Mikel has previously warned Sancho that he can’t afford to relax at Chelsea, and following his performance against the Seagulls the former Blue hasn’t held back in his criticism.
“Jadon Sancho came in and deceived us with a couple of games, and we thought, “fu*king hell, we are getting the Sancho from Dortmund”, but he’s gone again,” he told his Obi One Podcast.
“I don’t know what happened to him, but he has disappeared off the grid.”

Maresca is very short of options in the wide areas and currently only has Sancho, Neto and the inexperienced Tyrique George at his disposal.
It’s therefore likely Sancho will once again start against Aston Villa on Saturday and he really needs to step up and deliver a performance.
