🗣️ Mikel Arteta confirms Arsenal star to return this month | OneFootball

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided the Gunners with some much-needed good news after he confirmed that Ben White will return to action after their upcoming break.

The England defender has been sidelined with a knee injury since the November international break, but is now closing in on a return.

Quizzed on the full-back, Arteta revealed "Ben is still out. Hopefully after the break he will be available."

After their Carabao Cup second leg against Newcastle United, Arsenal have a 10 day period without a game as the FA Cup fourth round takes place, and White's return after that will be a welcome boost to Arteta's squad.

Meanwhile, the Gunners boss also touched on the "disappointment" of the January window, in which Arsenal tried and failed to land a new forward.

“We had a clear intention… we have not achieved it. We are disappointed in that sense. But we are very aware that we only want to bring certain kinds of players. We have to be very disciplined with that and we were.”
