Lionel Messi continues rewriting Major League Soccer history becoming the first ever player to score multiple goals in 4 consecutive league matches.
On Thursday the Argentine legend bagged brace to lead Inter Miami to 2 - 1 victory over New England Revolution.
Messi opened the scoring in the 27 minute, capitalizing on defensive error by Tanner Beason with powerful finish.
He struck again in the 38 minute, doubling Miami's lead before Carles Gil pulled one back for New England in the 79.
According to MLS.com, Messi’s latest brace cements him as the 1st player in league history to score 2+ goal in 4 consecutive MLS matches.
In just 15 league appearances this season, Messi's scored 14 goal and provided 7 assist. He currently ranks second in the MLS Golden Boot race trailing Sam Surridge of Nashville, who leads with 16 goal.
