Demba Thiam is switching clubs, but not leagues. After a two-season loan spell at Juve Stabia, the Senegalese goalkeeper has just joined Monza.
The 27-year-old shot-stopper has signed a three-year contract, with an option for a fourth, with the club that was relegated to the second division at the end of the 2024-2025 season.
The Dakar native, released by SPAL, will find some familiar faces at Monza. Indeed, it is at this club that former Senegal international Keita Baldé is currently playing.
Demba Thiam made 41 appearances for Juve Stabia last season, conceding 45 goals and recording 13 clean sheets. However, he couldn't guide his team to promotion to Serie A after losing in the playoff semi-finals against Cremonese (2-1, 0-3).
Relegated to Serie B after finishing bottom of the table in 2024-2025 with just 18 points from 38 matches, Monza will be aiming for a swift return to the top flight.
