Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to battle it out in the Copa del Rey final at the Estadio La Cartuja in Sevilla on Saturday, April 26th, at 22:00 local time. The Whites will be looking to clinch their 21st title in the Kings Cup against their arch rivals, who they last faced on this occasion in 2014, winning 2-1 at the Mestalla courtesy of goals from Angel di Maria and Gareth Bale.

This time out, Carlo Ancelotti, Dani Carvajal and Luka Modric are the only ones who remain in the team as compared to the star cast 11 years ago. There are, however, a lot of players in the team who played in the 2023 Kings Cup final when Real Madrid beat Osasuna 2-0 at the exact venue of this year’s edition, with Rodrygo Goes bagging a brace in that particular fixture.

Having said that, here is how the Whites are expected to line-up for the 2025 final.

Goalkeeper – Thibaut Courtois

Courtois is expected to be picked for the Copa del Rey final ahead of Andriy Lunin, who has conceded nine goals in two games against Barcelona this season.

Right Back – Federico Valverde

Valverde has been the go-to choice at right back in the big games for Ancelotti lately and the Uruguayan is expected to start once more in the back four.

Centre Back – Raul Asencio

Asencio will start his first final for Real Madrid against their bitterest rivals. He will look to make his mark and get his hands on the piece of silverware at stake.

Centre Back – Antonio Rudiger

Rudiger was rested in the game against Getafe and will be fresh for El Clasico as he hopes to win his second Copa del Rey title as a Real Madrid player.

Left Back – Ferland Mendy

Mendy has returned from injury and will be immediately thrown in at right back as Eduardo Camavinga is injured and the coaching staff remains unconvinced by Fran Garcia.

Defensive Midfielder – Aurelien Tchouameni

Tchouameni is silently having a phenomenal campaign and will be deployed as the holding midfielder once again by Ancelotti.

Right Midfielder – Luka Modric

Modric is likely to get the nod at right midfield with Valverde playing as a full back in the Clasico.

Left Midfielder – Dani Ceballos

Ceballos will bring some vital vertical passing to the game and will be important as he starts in midfield.

Attacking Midfielder – Jude Bellingham

Bellingham is expected to start as an attacking midfielder with Ancelotti likely to prioritise defensive stability and resultantly give the nod to only two forwards upfront.

Right Forward – Kylian Mbappe

Mbappe will look to make his mark against Barcelona again and having scored his first goal in El Clasico in January this year, he will hope to be on the winning end this time.

Left Forward – Vinicius Junior

Vinicius has looked like his usual self in the last few matches and will look to be on top of his game on Saturday as well with Real Madrid aiming to clinch the Copa del Rey.
