Maz Pacheco becomes Everton's eighth summer signing | OneFootball

Everton have completed their eighth summer signing with the arrival of Mayumi Pacheco on a free transfer.

The 26-year-old joins the club upon the expiry of her contract with Aston Villa after four seasons in which she played 92 games, scoring four times.

Ormskirk-born Pacheco began her career in Merseyside with local rivals Liverpool and has now returned with the Toffees.

"It is amazing to join Everton," Pacheco told the club's media. "To be at such a historic club is an unbelievable feeling. I wanted to stay in the WSL and give it my all.

"I have matured as a player and for Everton to be the club to bring me back home is fantastic. To be close to family, to have friends already in the squad, and to be able to come to play at Goodison Park is amazing."

Brian Sorensen's side have now made eight signings in the transfer window with Pacheco becoming the fourth new defender.
