Newly appointed AC Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri is targeting a reunion with striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to TuttoMercatoWeb.
Allegri, who rejoined Milan in May 2025 after two stints at Juventus, is reportedly keen on bolstering their attacking options following a disappointing eighth-place finish in Serie A.
The 25-year-old joined Juventus from Fiorentina for €70 million in 2022 and played some of the best football of his career under Allegri’s tutelage.
Allegri has previously lauded Vlahovic as ‘one of the best players of his generation’, so it is not much of a surprise that he is keen to work with him again at the San Siro.
No official talks have commenced yet, but Milan could start negotiations with Juventus over the coming weeks.
Milan’s interest in Vlahovic is not new. The club reportedly considered a move in 2023 but were deterred by Juventus’s €65 million valuation.
However, with Vlahovic’s contract set to expire in June 2026 and no renewal in sight, Juventus might be open to offers in the €30 million range.
Milan’s current striker options include Santiago Gimenez and Luka Jovic, who have both struggled for form, and Tammy Abraham, whose loan from AS Roma is nearing its end.
Vlahovic could provide the firepower Allegri seeks to rejuvenate Milan’s attack if they are to re-establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with.
While financial constraints and competition from other clubs could pose challenges, Allegri’s rapport with Vlahovic and Milan’s need for a proven striker make this potential reunion one to watch.
