Roma’s latest signing found his way onto the list of nominees for this year’s Ballon d’Or ceremony.
After Lionel Messi’s eighth title in 2023, the search is on for the Argentine phenomenon’s successor for what is the most prestigious individual award in the world of football.

The final ceremony will be held on October 28 in Paris.
Among the nominees are Roma’s Artem Dovbyk and the club’s latest signing – Mats Hummels.
The German defender was rewarded for his valiant effort in last year’s Champions League run with Borussia Dortmund.
Hummels led his side to a Champions League final, winning Best Defender of the competition.
Other candidates for this year’s Ballon d’Or include Jude Bellingham, Ruben Dias, Phil Foden, Nico Williams, Toni Kross and Granit Xhaka, to name a few.
