Both teams went in to Saturday's top-of-the-table clash with flawless records since the start of the season, having won all seven of their opening league fixtures. The Hoops led 2-0 at half time against Jimmy Thelin's side thanks to goals from Reo Hatate and Kyogo, however a spirited second half display from the visitors saw them level the match before the hour mark. Brendan Rodgers' men piled pressure on to Aberdeen towards the end of the match, but the away side managed to hang on with both sides remaining tied on points come the full-time whistle.
