Marc-André ter Stegen sends message to Barcelona teammates ahead of Mallorca clash | OneFootball

Barcelona captain Marc-André ter Stegen has taken to social media on Saturday, to send a message of encouragement to the rest of Hansi Flick’s squad.

This of course comes as Barcelona prepare to kick the defence of their La Liga title into gear.

The Blaugrana have made the trip to Son Moix, for an opening day meeting with Jagoba Arrasate’s RCD Mallorca.

The aforementioned Ter Stegen is set to play no part in proceedings, however.

The German is currently sidelined with a long-term back injury, which forced him under the knife late last month.

Ter Stegen has of course endured an altogether tough time of things in Catalunya’s capital of late, having been stripped of the Barcelona captaincy only to be reinstated days later after backing down on his stance regarding the club’s medical report on his wellbeing.

On Saturday, the shot-stopper was therefore keen to make clear his backing for Hansi Flick’s squad.

Taking to his official Instagram account, Ter Stegen unveiled a matchday post featuring the caption:
