Manchester United put the growing transfer rumours surrounding Bruno Fernandes to one side as they finished their short post-season tour of Southeast Asia with a win on Friday. The Red Devils were in Hong Kong for the first time since 2013, desperately seeking to end a difficult trip on a positive note after being stunned 1-0 by the ASEAN All-Stars in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday to continue what has been a truly wretched campaign.

Ruben Amorim was stinging with his latest criticism of his squad after that shock result that saw them booed off the pitch, but his side fought back from going behind to win 3-1 in Hong Kong despite the latest speculation over Fernandes. The United captain started this afternoon along with Alejandro Garnacho, but is now believed to be seriously considering a lucrative offer to join Saudi side Al-Hilal in a move that would see the club net around £100million.

United dominated in Hong Kong on Friday with chances galore from the outset, but needed Chido Obi to score twice off the bench in the second half after Tom Heaton could not stop Juninho’s earlier effort. Ayden Heaven then set the seal on a much-needed win in the final seconds of stoppage time.
