L’Equipe reported that PSG and Manchester United are close to finalizing a loan deal for Ugarte, which includes a €60 million obligation to buy. The two clubs have made significant progress in their negotiations tonight, and the agreement could be completed within the next few hours.

Over the last few weeks, the Red Devils have been linked to the Uruguayan player, but the sticking point is the transfer fee. The Parisians reportedly want to recoup their initial investment in Ugarte and the Premier League side have been firm on their stance.

Nonetheless, the two sides appear willing to make a transfer as journalist Ben Jacobs reported on Thursday that PSG and Manchester United are now deep in negotiations over Ugarte, with both sides discussing a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy.

United remain optimistic, while PSG has consistently held firm on their €60 million valuation. The two clubs are getting closer to an agreement, and PSG is willing to extend the talks into next week if necessary.

Ugarte made 37 appearances for the Ligue 1 champions last season, contributing three assists. The former Sporting Lisbon standout had a solid start to the campaign, but his playing time dipped in the second half as he shifted from being a regular starter to more of a rotational player.
