In a recent post on X, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Manchester United have identified Royal Antwerp keeper Senne Lammens as a target. It has been revealed that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Belgian goalie this summer.

Lammens’ Impressive Form In Belgian Football

Lammens had a solid campaign in Belgian football recently as he was responsible for putting in a run of impressive displays in goal for Antwerp. The 23-year-old made 44 appearances for the Belgian outfit last season, conceding 56 goals and earning ten clean sheets in the process across all competitions.

The Antwerp talent proved his worth as one of the best keepers in Belgian football. Hence, it is no surprise that Man United are eyeing a move to bring Lammens to Old Trafford in this summer transfer period.

Lammens’ current contract at the Belgian club will expire in the summer of 2027. Therefore, the Red Devils would have to make a big offer if they want to sign him this off-season.

Should Manchester United Boss Ruben Amorim Go For Lammens?

Lammens can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing well on the field. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few solid saves at the back for his team.

Standing at 1.93m, the Belgian keeper is a towering presence inside his penalty box. However, there are some concerns over whether he would be able to cope with the high intensity of the Premier League if Man United manage to bring him on board in this summer transfer window.

We can expect Lammens to bring more quality and depth to Ruben Amorim’s squad. He might even help the Red Devils compete for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few years.
