In a recent report, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Manchester United have been offered a chance to land Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson. It has been mentioned that the Red Devils are eyeing a move to secure the services of the Senegalese talent this summer.
Jackson served as a decent squad player at Stamford Bridge in the previous campaign but managed to put in a run of productive displays as the focal point of Chelsea’s attack. The Senegalese talent banged in 13 goals and earned six assists in 37 appearances for the Blues last season on all fronts.
The 24-year-old caught the eye at times in the final third as he averaged 3.08 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He kept 44.7% of his attempts on target. Jackson was even accurate when distributing possession in the opponent’s half, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 75.9% in league football (stats via fbref.com).
His current deal at the West London club will run out in the summer of 2033. Hence, Man United would have to make a convincing offer if they want to lure Jackson to Old Trafford this off-season.

Jackson excels at finding a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has proven himself to be a decent finisher in the final third and has got the eye to play some decisive passes on the offensive third of the pitch.
Standing at 1.87m, Jackson can use his strong frame to win a few 50-50 aerial duels for his team. However, he has to find a way to be more consistent in front of the opponent’s goal. The Senegalese sensation is primarily a centre-forward but can also play as a winger on either flank if required.
Jackson would add more firepower to Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim’s attack. He would serve as an upgrade to Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee at the Mancunian club.
At 24, Jackson has his best years ahead of him which makes him a decent fit for Man United‘s needs in the long run. With all things considered, Amorim would be wise to move in for the Senegalese forward before the end of this transfer period.
