Rasmus Hojlund remains keen to fight for his place at Manchester United despite the imminent arrival of Benjamin Sesko.
Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Sesko from RB Leipzig for an initial fee of £66.3m plus add-ons. The 22-year-old arrives to bolster a side that struggled for goals last season, with only Everton managing fewer among the sides to survive relegation.
Hojlund netted just four times in the Premier League last season and his position as a regular is set to come under threat from the new arrival.
However, Fabrizio Romano has reported that the Denmark international wants to fight for his future at Old Trafford. Hojlund is ‘not scared’ to compete for a place in Ruben Amorim’s side and will hold talks over his future in the coming days.
AC Milan have enquired about a possible loan deal to sign the striker. The Italian side are aware an agreement can be reached for an initial loan with a substantial loan fee and Hojlund’s salary covered.
The 22-year-old previously impressed in Serie A with Atalanta and Milan are seeking additional options in attack. Luka Jovic and Tammy Abraham have both departed the San Siro this summer, leaving the club’s forward line light.
