Manchester United are keeping a keen eye on Turkey’s Euro 2024 star left back Ferdi Kadioglu.

Erik ten Hag’s side had the unenviable task of having to play most of the season without a recognised left back, as back-up Tyrell Malacia was injured all season and first choice Luke Shaw only played 15 times.

Diogo Dalot covered admirably for most of the second half of the season but his true position is that of right back and United will be hoping he plays much more frequently in his favoured position next season to really unlock his potential.

As a result, Fabrizio Romano has previously confirmed that United are aiming to sign a left back this summer to alleviate the problems they suffered last year.

One name that has been heavily linked to United is that of Bournemouth’s Milos Kerkez.

Turkish-Football provides another interesting option as it reports that sources have told them that “scouts from Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United were present at the Euro 2024 group stage decider between Turkey and Czech Republic, with a keen eye on Turkish left-back Ferdi Kadioglu.”

“The Gunners have been scouting him for over a year and United have joined a growing list of clubs interested in signing the Turkish international this summer.”

He is described as a “mainstay” in the Turkish defence and whose “attacking prowess and solid defensive play haven’t gone unnoticed.”

The 24 year old has played every game of the Euros so far and represented his club side Fenerbahce a mammoth 51 times last season, scoring three goals and providing five assists in all competitions.

“The Yellow Canaries value their star man at €30 million” so he could be a cheaper option in comparison to Kerkez, who will reportedly cost at least £40 million to purchase.

In addition, Fenerbahce have been credited with an interest in players like Victor Lindelof, so perhaps in a summer of PSR, there seems an opportunity for Ineos to be more creative in a potential deal.

Nonetheless, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are said to be serious rivals for his signature and if he continues to shine in the Euros, this will only hike up his price further.
